AFLW 2018: Round 2 Results

Another excellent round of AFL saw a new world attendance record; last year’s premiers holding up the ladder, and some new front runners in the race for the 2018 premiership. Adelaide won the inaugural AFLW Premiership in 2017 but, after two rounds, they’re at the bottom of the ladder and one more loss may see the out of contention for the year.

Carlton are now heading the ladder, but the real contenders are Melbourne, who are highest scoring team and are looking incredibly slick. They punished Adelaide and had an extra 12 scoring shots. Carlton played in a storm against Greater Western Sydney, and it was one of the lowest scoring games in AFLW history. Fremantle had a come-from-behind-victory against Collingwood in front of 41,975 people at Perth Stadium, and Western Bulldogs held on against a fast-finishing Brisbane.
